Mama’s Cooking: 10 places in Tyler serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal

Brynna Williamson • Staff Editor

Thanksgiving Day is a day that, for many of us, means largely the same thing: turkey, potatoes, football, family, and memories. It is a day to escape what is often a high-stress, very busy college student life, sit back, laugh with friends and family, and eat a meal. If you or a friend find yourselves living on campus and not able to go home for Thanksgiving day, here are 10 places in Tyler—some free and some for-profit—that are offering a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Any food that is brought is fair game: any honors students should feel free to bring and take food! They also mentioned that if you are an honors student who does not have a place to go for Thanksgiving, get in touch with Ms. Dykes at ldykes@uttyler.edu and they will do their best to “matchmake” you with another honors student whose family is willing to host.
