There’s a new item on the Mcdonald’s menu called the “Travis Scott meal” and to my surprise, it was actually kind of “lit”.

“I couldn’t be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald’s collaboration to life,” said Scott, during his stop at the oldest Mcdonald’s in the world in Downey, CA. “We are bringing together two iconic worlds. Including a charitable component was key for me, and I can’t wait for people to see what we have in store.”

Some of the 28-year-old Houston rapper’s hits include: Sicko Mode, Goosebumps, Antidote, Butterfly Effect and Stargazing.

At any Mcdonald’s, all you have to order is the Travis Scott meal and for $6.50, you will receive a Quarter Pounder with cheese, bacon and lettuce, a medium fry, a medium Sprite and a side of the Tangy BBQ Sauce.

The popular fast-food chain’s website describes the burger as “Dive into a Quarter Pounder with Cheese stacked with Travis’ go-to toppings: bacon and lettuce. It’s a classic, made iconic.”

The medium fry with BBQ Sauce is accompanied by the slogan “There’s nothing like hot, crispy Fries with Tangy BBQ Sauce. If you know, you know.”

The drink of Scott’s choosing is Sprite, described as “Sprite with Ice. Straight Up! Go for Sprite in a classic McDonald’s cup. Oh, and ask for extra ice.”

As this may just seem like a big publicity stunt, the real question it poses is, “Is it worth it?” My personal opinion, is yes.

I actually enjoyed this meal a lot. I wasn’t sure what to think when I first ordered a “Travis Scott” meal in the drive-thru, as I was actually quite intimidated to do so.

There were no promotions or signs about the special meal, but luckily, the worker knew exactly what it was. I had actually heard about the promotion through a friend, but then began seeing it on Instagram and Snapchat, so of course I had to go to McDonald’s to see if this was real.

I opened the meal and it exceeded my expectations. Maybe it’s because I haven’t had McDonald’s in over a year, but I really enjoyed it. It was messy, flavorful and worth the $6.50.

You don’t need to be a big fan of the rapper to recognize that this meal isn’t so bad. Yeah, it’s McDonald’s and it’s just a Quarter Pounder with bacon and cheese added, but...I’d get it again. It hit the spot, so maybe Travis Scott is actually on to something. Or maybe I was just really hungry.

Recent videos on TikTok have shown Scott handing out the meal himself to customers driving through random McDonald’s locations in California.

McDonald’s website also features merch from the record label “Cactus Jack” which Travis Scott founded. The store features hoodies, jeans, shirts, body pillows, bags, cups and many more items that showcase the partnership with McDonald’s.

An article from The New York Post mentions how McDonald’s says they are running out of burgers because of the popular meal being ordered everywhere since

it launched last week.

The article mentions how franchisees are running out of common ingredients like fresh beer, bacon, slivered onions and shredded lettuce. According to USA Today, it was first reported that shortages began happening late last Tuesday.

“Stay tuned and don’t worry, we’ve got more surprises from Cactus Jack coming soon,” McDonald’s said in a recent statement.

The promotion is set to run through Oct. 4th and this is the first celebrity collaboration McDonald’s has done in 30 years since one collab with Michael Jordan, according to USA Today.

In conclusion, this limited time meal is something to try and it is indeed “lit.”
