Legalization of Gay Marriage


Professor Eric Lopez

Department of Political Science and History, UT Tyler

Eric Lopez is a Professor and the Pre-Law Advisor in the Department of Political Science and History. His research and teaching interests concern Judicial Politics, specifically the federal judiciary. Prior to being hired at UT Tyler, Professor Lopez attended graduate school at the University of Arizona.

Father Paul R. Key

Priest Chaplain of the St. John Paul II Catholic Campus Ministry of Tyler

Paul Key is a priest who was assigned as Chaplain to the St. John Paul the Great Catholic Campus Ministry in Tyler in April of 2013, serving both UT Tyler and TJC. Paul has an interest in biblical studies as well as marriage preparation and marriage enrichment. Prior to his current position, Paul worked with Stephen F. Austin State University.

Sam Cook

Member of the Award-winning UT Tyler debate team

Sam Cook is a sophomore at UT Tyler. Sam is a member of the UT Tyler debate team and the UT Tyler honors program. Sam is double majoring in social sciences and mass communication.

Member of the Award-winning UT Tyler debate team

Steven Hullum is a sophomore political science major. Steven is in the Honors program, the GATE program and a member of the UT Tyler debate team. After graduating from UT Tyler, he hopes to attend law school.
