Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help a new student organization assist non-profits with community projects and activities.

Patriots Serving Our Community, PSOC, volunteers at various community service events and agencies. The President is Lauren Tadlock.

Student volunteers are needed immediately to help out with these events:

Nov. 7 "Jack Jubilee" at Jack Elementary - Volunteers needed 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to assist with games and booths. For information, contact M. Meyer at chevemaria@msn.com.

Nov. 17 MADD's 5th Annual "Tie One On for Safety" event - Volunteers wanted to help host event at UT Tyler Ornelas Activity Center. For information, call 903-534-6000 or rita.fryer@madd.org

The American Cancer Society needs volunteers to help with mail outs every Friday from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. For information, contact 903.597.1348.

The East Texas Food Bank needs volunteers to assist with several projects. The contact person is Myste Snow, 903-597-7659.

Garden Estates of Tyler needs volunteers to assist the elderly with shopping and socialization. To serve, contact S. Denton at 903.534.0449.

UT Tyler is hosting canned food and blanket drives in November, and a toy drive in early December. For information, contact the Office of Community Relations, 903-566-7050.
