Student Government Association officials plan to hear questions regarding the issue of the intramural “green space” during their afternoon town hall meeting scheduled for Nov. 11.
“The only thing that was major was the green space on campus,” SGA president Amy Whitehouse said. “I know the administration are looking into some things for change and I hope maybe at the meeting they will address that issue.”
The event is sponsored by the Student Government Association from 11-12:30 p.m. at the University Center ballroom.
“I would like to see that the students are able to come to the town hall meeting and be able to publicize their concerns and let the administration know what their concerns are,” Whitehouse said. “I want them to feel like they can talk to each other and work things out.”
SGA had to reschedule the town hall meeting on Oct. 22 as the administration was at a conference in Austin. “I had to e-mail all of the administration and find a better day for the majority of them to attend,” she said. “We wanted as many influential members of the administration to attend.”
The main panel consists of Gregg Lassen, executive vice president for business affairs; Dr. Peter Fos, provost and executive vice president for student affairs; Dr. Howard Patterson, vice president for student affairs; Ona Tolliver, director of student life and leadership and Shannon Mariani, director of food service.
