What qualities do you possess that make you a good leader?

I believe that I am very goal-oriented. I have good communication skills, and I am able to see different perspectives in every situation.
All of these qualities have helped me in the leadership positions that I have held in the past and will help me excel in my future position as SGA president.

What would you like to see changed on campus and how would you accomplish this task?
I would like for SGA to be more open to students. I feel that as an organization, we need to reach out and communicate more to the students, faculty and staff on campus.
Hopefully this change will not only better SGA, but the University as a whole.

How do you see yourself as a liaison between the student body and the administration?
I see myself as a catalyst between the students and the UT Tyler administration.
I have been elected to represent the students and their concerns, thoughts and ideas, and I will do everything in my power to liaise between the students and the administration.

How do you plan to represent the student body?
I plan on representing the students in an unbiased manner and empower the SGA senators as much as possible to help them in representing the students as well.
I would like for the executive board and the senators of SGA to formally meet with administrative representatives on a regular basis to establish the most constructive relationship possible between the administrative body and the student body.
I would also like to continue with our town hall meetings and look into increasing the occurrence of those meetings to give students the opportunity to communicate directly with the administration.

What goals would like to see the University accomplish by the time your service ends?
At the end of my term, I would like to see a University that relies more on its Student Government Association.
I would like for our organization to expand in its communication with the students and its responsibility among the University. In regards to specific goals, I would like for SGA to continue working on implementing a dead week, or study days, prior to finals.
