Romantic movies are always a hit in the Hollywood box office, but not much is ever heard about romantic books becoming popular.

Currently author Stephanie Meyer is the most talked about author in the literary world due to her best-selling vampire-turned-love-story Twilight Series. Larry Doyle, author of I love you, Beth Cooper, has more experience than most writers have. Doyle was a writer for Bevis and Butthead, The Simpsons, and has been published in Esquire Magazine as well as the New Yorker. Because of Doyles comedic history, the novel that came out of his infinite creativity is terribly funny.

Enter Denis Cooverman, senior class valedictorian and debate team coach among other things. During his graduation speech, he ad-libs a few lines that are not on the faculty-approved transcript. Basically, the five words he says (I love you, Beth Cooper) instantly stun the audience, and change his life.

The book only encompasses about 18 hours: the time from Dennis graduates to the morning after graduation.

The short time-span does not mean a sparse storyline. The novel is packed with things that every teen love story should have in it. First kisses, cuddling under the stars, coked out boyfriends, and naked shower time.

Next summer, the book is scheduled to be released as a movie by Fox Atomic production studio. Starring the luscious Hayden Panettiere as Beth Cooper and the scrawny Paul Rust as Denis Cooverman, the movie should be an instant hit in the box office and take the ranks of other teen love stories like the Notebook, Never been Kissed, and 16 Candles.
