Dr. Arlene Horne, vice president for research and federal relations, said the University’s office of sponsored research is now allowing all students access to a funding database, according to a recent press release.
Sponsored Programs Information Network is a database designed to provide up-to-date information on funding opportunities, the release said.
“This represents a significant opportunity for UT Tyler students to gain access to up-to-date information on current federal, non-federal and international funding opportunities, including research grants, publication support, conference support and more,” Horne said in the release.
“Access to this resource can have a considerable impact on UT Tyler student research and publications.”
SPINPlus allows users to search the database using selections from various categories—including keywords, location, sponsor, and deadline—and have matches e-mailed directly to them, the release said.
Interested students can e-mail ogs@uttyler.edu for login information or call Hannah Buchanan at 903-565-5769 for more information.
