**Location update** Board to hold hearing for former Patriot Talon adviser

Student Media Advisory Board members scheduled a public hearing concerning Vanessa Curry as the adviser of the Patriot Talon for 2 p.m to 4 p.m. on May 12, in HPR 262.

“The board can only address the adviser portion,” Dr. Marsha Matthews, Student Media Advisory Board secretary, said. “It (the board) has no jurisdiction over the faculty side. It cannot hear any testimony regarding the classroom or teaching.”

The board has not yet determined the format of the hearing, but anyone who wishes to speak before the board should send his or her name to Matthews along with a reason for wishing to be added to the agenda. Matthews will then send the list to board chair John Gaston.

At this time, board members don’t know how many students will be requested to speak or the time they will be allotted.
