Gibson, Dobrinski added to Patriot softball staff

University officials announced the addition of Christy Gibson and Megan Dobrinski to the Patriots' softball coaching staff last Friday.

Gibson rejoins the staff after taking a year off. She was apart of the staff in 2009, who won the 2009 NFCA West Region Coach Staff of the Year, and helped lead the team to their first appearance in the NCAA Div. III Softball College World Series.

Dobrinski comes to the University from Southwestern Oklahoma State, where she has spent the past two years as an assistant. She plans to work with outfielders, slappers and help with recruiting.

Dobrinski is a native of Chandler, Texas and played two years at Lon Morris Community College and two years at SWOSU.

The Patriots are the defending American Southwest Conference East Division champions and have appeared the in NCAA Div. III tournament the past three years.
