GETTING ACQUAINTED: Dozens of freshman took advantage of the chance to learn about the resources UT Tyler has to offer. Above, Michael Lisk of Clear Lake talks to Carol Killingley of the University’s Community Relations and Parent Resource Center.
The event, held June 14 and 15, was the first of four sessions planned for the summer, said Dr. Howard Patterson, vice president for
student affairs.
Participants received information about University resources and activities as they experienced the campus first-hand.
A Resource Fair was also hosted to help students learn about organizations and service projects.
Three other freshmen orientation sessions are planned this summer: July 17-18, July 26-27 and Aug. 21-22.
