Tank, played by Dane Cook, is a professional jerk who is hired by men to take their ex-girlfriends out on the worst dates of their lives. After the disastrous dates with Tank, the women realize their former boyfriends are the right men for them.

Tank is also best friends with Dusty, played by Jason Biggs, who desperately needs his help. So, Dusty hires Tank to take his ex-girlfriend Alexis, played by Kate Hudson, on a date that’s supposed to make her come running back into his arms.

After the date, Tank finds himself in quite a predicament when he realizes he has feelings for her. This movie is surprisingly funny, and there is some definite chemistry between Cook and Hudson. Although it is crude and vulgar, the laughs keep coming.

The situation is predictable and there are some scenes that seem to drag on a little too long, but it still keeps the audience interested. There is strong language throughout the entire movie, but it doesn’t detract from the dialogue.

Cook is entertaining; his outlandish and extremely forward behavior is hilarious. He crosses the line with every woman he meets, yet they still find him attractive. The acting is good, and supported the script, but Alec Baldwin’s role as Tank’s womanizing father is a little too crude and somewhat disturbing. This film isn’t for the easily offended, but it is facetious and entertaining.

The film earned a three out of five star rating for being funny but not hilarious and crude but not overly disgusting.
