A course on domestic violence taught by Dr. John Clark is scheduled for Summer II session.
Clark said the class covers all topics of abuse, including child, spousal, elderly, and gay and lesbian.
“No matter what your age or what your major is, this class can be beneficial to you,”
Clark said. “Sometimes people have experienced domestic violence and do not even realize it.”
He said domestic violence is an issue of the century that touches everyone’s life.
He said he plans to invite attorneys, detectives, judges and advocates who deal with domestic violence cases to address the class.
Clark earned his doctorate from Alabama University and specializes in the relation between psychology and criminal justice.
The class — CRIJ 4360-402 — is scheduled to meet from 9-10:40 a.m. Monday through Friday.
