The Department of Art and Art History is scheduled to sponsor Senior Art Exhibition 2009 featuring works by University students.
The exhibition held at the Meadows Gallery begins Nov. 23, ending Dec. 18 and will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Participating seniors include Anup Bhandari, John Bradley, Jill Brown, Michael Pianta and Michael Stephen.
They exhibit their paintings and sculptures, the results of time, effort and firm focus, in partial fulfillment of a bachelor’s degree in fine arts.
“My work is a reflection of my deepest beliefs: peace, nonviolence, and fairness,” Anup Bhandari said.
“I strive to convey a sensory experience within a three-dimensional world upon a two- dimensional canvas,” Jill Brown said.
The five seniors are scheduled to talk about their works and answer questions at the Gallery Talks at 5 p.m. on Dec. 1. There will also be a reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.
