“Get Smart”

Running Time: 110 Minutes

Rating: PG-13 for some rude humor, action violence, and language.

Maxwell Smart, played by Steve Carell, is a newly promoted agent in the government division CONTROL. He is assigned his first operation to bring down the nuclear scheme of an evil spy group called KAOS.

In his mission, he is paired up with Agent-99, played by Anne Hathaway, who is much more skilled than he.

As Agent-99 and Maxwell Smart travel around the world, trying to complete their mission, situations arise that are very comical, but also action packed.

The movie has cute moments, and there is definite chemistry between Carell and Hathaway.

It is a fun movie to watch, and there is a good balance between action and acting.

There are some action scenes that look a little fake, but overall the action is intense. This film has a lot of slapstick humor and verbal humor, which complements each other well.

The feature film receives four out of five stars because it is funny and exciting.

Special features: Play movie straight through or in “Comedy Optimization” Mode with Get Smart Takes, more than 20 minutes of hilarious alternative jokes.

The special features aren’t interesting; the alternative jokes aren’t as funny as the ones that are in the actual film.

Special features receive one out of five stars because there aren’t any featurettes or “behind the scenes” clips.
