It is irresponsible and immature for an individual to post updates or photos considered inappropriate on the Internet. Internet pages should be social not anti-social.

Who doesn’t have a Facebook, Myspace or Twitter account? Social networking pages are fun when used properly. But it is careless to bash other people via status updates. And posting lewd photos can be severely damaging to one’s reputation.

College students and young adults everywhere have retired their brains and committed their butts to the couch in front of mindless television programming and Xbox Live.

Remember those childhood days when a little imagination was all you needed to entertain yourself?
Saturdays were spent outside in the fresh air on bikes or roller blades.

Students must have packed their wagons and headed west because the Student Government Association town hall meeting was nothing short of a ghost town. Besides SGA members and a few journalism students, only three people attended the meeting.

We can only conclude that students do not care about issues regarding the University, how their tuition dollars are spent and have no concerns worth mentioning to SGA members or University officials.

Student Government Association representation of the students scores a zero for failing to represent the student body’s voice on the issue of an increase in student tuition.

After comparing propositions for a raise in student tuition from all nine of The University of Texas System campuses to the presentation given by our own SGA president, it is obvious the University’s SGA practically made no efforts to hear the student’s opinions regarding the proposition of a tuition increase.

Hear, ye! Hear, ye! All University professors hear the pleas of your suffering scholars.
Only you can give students a much-needed vacation by not assigning homework or projects during spring break.
Spring semester is always a bittersweet bite of freedom and burn out.
Since August, students have been in class for seven months with only three days for Thanksgiving and three weeks between fall and spring semesters.
Week after week students attend classes, complete homework and projects, balance jobs and have home lives. A social life must fit in the mix as well.

The recent opening of student parking in front of the new University Center is the source of much joy here at the Talon. The new parking eliminates the old 10-minute trek from Old Omen’s street curb to class.

Obvious advancement is being made in the UC and skeptical students can now witness progress. Gone are the once familiar chain link fences. A great decline in construction workers can be seen. And only a single Port-A-Potty remains.

The University’s technology system deserves to be commended. Complaints about difficulties within the University’s websites are a common thing to hear among students. Various system failures are more than frequent.However, one may note a small change recently took place that has made things a bit easier.
