Food drive benefits ETFB

The annual campus-wide food drive benefiting the East Texas Food Bank ended Friday, just in time for Thanksgiving.

Organizers said the University has contributed to the food bank for five years and considers the fall food drive a tradition.

Volleyball: Patriots late rally falls short

The Patriots volleyball team lost to the 10-5 University of Dallas Lady Crusaders 3-0 in a gut wrenching game Saturday afternoon at the Herrington Patriot Center.
New bleachers to be completed by start of baseball season; Seating features up to 400 new spots for baseball fans

Come this spring, Patriot baseball fans can leave their lawn chairs and blankets at home and sit on shiny new aluminum bleachers instead.

Construction workers are putting the finishing touches on two bleacher stands that more than double the seating capacity of Irwin Field.

An anonymous donor made the expansion project possible, officials said. “It’s something the school wanted and decided to do,” assistant coach Wes Davis said.
