Four major student lenders have dropped loans for University students, and administrators are looking at ways to cut back spending in accordance with a state mandate as the Wall Street crisis hit University Boulevard this week.

Lenders Chase, Southside, College Loan Corporation and Capital One have dropped out of the University’s student loan program, said Candice Lindsey, associate dean of financial aid.

“We still have plenty of lenders who are remaining in the program, so the only contingency necessary is for the student to select an active lender,” Lindsey said.

In January 2005, Goldsmith was stationed in Sadr City, assigned to document the Iraqi violence occurring at that time.

The University needs more motorcycle parking and students who drive motorcycles should be required to park in their designated parking spots.

Designated motorcycle parking spots would be a better use of parking areas. Motorcycle parking spots take up less room than parking spots for cars. More vehicles would be able to fit into a single parking area if more motorcycle parking is installed.

Motorcycle parking areas also would be safer for students at the University.
