In a career that spans more than 10 years, Vilade has an all-time record of 300-99.

“The nice thing about this milestone was that our current assistant coach Andrew Ravaglia, was with me for career win number one and now he is with me today,” Vilade said. “So that was a special moment for me and these players that are around now, they are great people to be around and it’s a lot of fun to share this moment them.”

Vilade started the baseball program at The University of Dallas in 1997 and began play in 1998 where the team recorded a 25-17 record in their first season.

He continued coaching there until 2002 when Oral Roberts gave him as assistant coaching position.

One year later, he arrived on campus to assemble the new Patriots baseball program.

Coach Vilade has never been part of a losing team and has averaged at least 30 wins per season.

The best season for records came in 2007 when the Patriots went 37-1, the best season ever by an NCAA Division III team. However, that record was not officially recognized because of the Patriots’ provisional status.

Vilade was named the University’s athletic director in 2008.
